Gr8 food & friendly service
My friend brought her three year old son there for lunch about a week ago. However, as all toddlers do, he held it until the last minute before announcing he had to relieve himself. She would have had to pass the bathroom to put her things down. Knowing the urgency of the situation, she did as any mother in the situation would do; she hit the bathroom first. The owner came out a door before she was in and immediately turned her away. She explained her son needed the bathroom immediately. He refused the boy again and directed her to a public bathroom across the street. Some Family restaurant 👌. Shame too because I enjoy Polish food but I guess I'll never see their menu because I will never let a penny fall in a place like this.
Great party. Really good food!
What a great meal. Very authentic and delicious Eastern European food. Very nice owner. Plenty of parking in back or on the street in front. Prices are reasonable. A hidden gem. We will definitely be back.
This place is amazing and the owner is a wonderful person. We ordered perogies, they were fantastic, but they didn't meet his own personal standards so he brought us a fresh order. You don't see things like this in restaurants anymore. Love this place
The owners are wonderful people. Mike makes sure everything is delicious and runs a great place. Joanna’s a very sweet, helpful server too! My new favorite restaurant for authentic polish fare.
Great food, atmosphere, and service
Very good - reminds me of the way my mother and grandfather used to cook Polish food. Owner nice and clearly cares deeply about making it it authentic.
We went around 9 on a Friday night and there was just our table. Waitress and the owner are both very friendly. We couldn't decide which soup to order so they gave us small samples to try. Food is freshly cooked and delicious, and sitting is nice.
I love it. Food is always soooo delicious!
Thought the "price per piece" buffet was an odd concept but it works out well in practice. Got to try a lot of stuff from the menu for a very reasonable price, unlike all-you-can-eat places which overcharge you and make you feel like you gotta stuff your face to get your dollar's worth. Food was delicious, very authentic.
The best pierogi I've had since I visited Poland. I love the hunters stew and dumplings too! The owner does a great job at making you feel welcome. Very family friendly!
Great place to eat and the soup is always served at the right temperature!
Very authentic Polish food in a old world setting. Try the sampler with peirogis, potato pancakes, Hunter stew, stuffed cabbage and kolbasi. I will be having leftovers for days! Everything was tasty and service was caring. They have a full bar and feature polish beer.
Great authentic food, just like my Grandma used to make.
Nice place good solid polish food
Excellent food and family atmosphere.
Great food. You will not go hungry.
Service was prompt and the wait staff is very kind. The food was just like I have had it in Poland and very tasty. I fully recommend Warszawa.
We visited this restaurant for a funeral repast and were so impressed by the excellent food and gracious staff. We live out of state but will make a point of visiting this restaurant whenever we return to visit friends and family in Connecticut. We will also recommend it to people we know who live there. The potato pancakes are as good as my mother's and the pierogis were amazing. Stuffed cabbage were the best we have had in a long time. This restaurant rivals any of the restaurants in New Britain!
Stopped into Warszawa for a business lunch mid-week. Mike, the owner and chef, greeted us warmly and was very eager to make sure we were happy. Food was delicious, authentic, and made fresh to order. I will make this a regular stop on my business trips to the area. Highly recommended!
Awesome food. Great family atmosphere. At a great price. You can't go wrong.
The food is consistently well prepared and flavorful, workers hands out awesome service. I really like the cleanliness and ambience. I highly recommend this place.
Quiet little place in downtown Ansonia. Went in for lunch and the food was pretty good. I'll go back again.
Great place! Highly recommended. Great service, terrific atmosphere and food is authentic and very well done.
Great food and prices. I highly recommend the buffet
Pretty authentic though, knowing Polish food well, it didn't stand out. Service was very pleasant and the owner mad a point of speaking with us and giving a background for all the dishes we had. If in the area, definitely worth stopping by.
Friendly courteous staff,, good food. Reasonable prices. Five of us enjoyed different meals shared appetizers and desserts.
Great potato pancakes & stuffed cabbage.
Awesome place to eat, the pickle soup is highly recommended!
Good Polish food; I had the Polish platter with kielbasa, pierogies, stuffed cabbage, potato pancakes, and something else, sauerkraut I think. I only got to finish the first three. The pickles were a nice touch. The place was almost empty when I went.
This was my first time trying Polish food and everything was very good. The food and service were perfect, I will be back.
Excellent cozy Polish restaurant! Staff was very patient and accommodating to some rather demanding members in our party.
Clean and cozy, great food, decent prices, and owners who actually enjoy running the restaurant and care about their clients. It's definitely worth checking out.
Awesome perogies
I simply love their food. I always get excellent service here. The place is neat and the cashiers are always super nice. Will visit here again.
This was best polish food I have eaten outside of Poland. Authentic polish cuisine, friendly atmosphere and very reasonable prices. Will go back for sure!
Walked up to the door to eat and it was closed, like every Monday, and a friendly gentleman on the sidewalk, working on the picnic table, had asked me what kind of Polish food I liked. After I told him, he gestured for us to enter, and told us he was the owner. He opened the restaurant solely for two hungry customers on its off day. Very nice, very personable man and devoted to customer service. The food was unbelievably good, Mike (the owner) made me kielbasa & sauerkraut, sauerkraut & mushroom and cheese & potato pierogies, brought us pickle soup, imported Polish pickles, and french fries. It was homemade and everything was delicious. On a 1-10 scale, this restaurant is rated a 100.
The food is amazing. Very nice service, respectful and meets all your needs! Very European! Extremely fast service. Would visit again. Prices are very reasonable as well!
Food was authentic. Pierogies, potato pancakes, stuffed cabbage were all delicious. Atmosphere great. Nice change in dining venue.
Very good service. When we had a question on a food item they volunteered to bring a sample. The sample convinced me to order the Stroganoff. It was excellent.
Real traditional Polish food. Will definitely be back.
We went to the restaurant for Mother's Day and enjoyed it very much. There was no wait and were seated right away. The waitress was very friendly and came back to make sure we had everything we needed. We had 3 Polish platters and chicken livers with fries and everything was excellent.
The food is consistently fresh and yummy, employees hands over good service. I liked the cleanliness and mood. Will come visit again.
The most enjoyable delicious polish food I truly enjoyed. The owner Michael and waitstaff was wonderful and the food amazing. The bison vodka with apple juice was so smooth. I will definitely be back with more people to enjoy this restaurant.
Outstanding fresh authentic Polish food, been to this establishment twice and the food tasted exactly as it did the first day I went. The waitress is vary friendly as well as the owner, definitely recommend this place for Authentic Polish food can’t wait to visit it again.
Great food and great atmosphere .
I have only ordered food to pick it up and eat at home, but everything has consistently been delicious. Very authentic and has a great atmosphere when I go in. The place is great!!
Very friendly and helpful staff. Good Hungarian pancake except the brown gravy. They should just offer it on the side. It was swimming in it. I scraped it off and the pancake was perfection. The beef stroganoff was not what you would expect. No creamy sour cream sauce with beef chunks over pasta, instead they have a slightly spicy red mushroom sauce. With a little tweeking, sauce wise, they would get 5 stars. Very nice inside. Very clean.
Potato pancakes are fresh made every time and worth the wait! So delicious. Beef tripe soup is excellent as well.
